Each Darcy Sweet novel is sweeter than the last. This one begins 5 years later than the last book, with Darcy having a sense of foreboding of what the mists are bringing in. This time the story is much darker, more suspenseful. I couldn't put it down, riding a roller coaster of emotions. Jon & Darcy's little girl Colby is quite a precious angel, & as Darcy says "a twenty-five-year-old trapped in a little girl's body." I can't wait to read more about the Sweet/Tinker family! Oh my gosh what can I say except wow. Yes held my breath through half of the book. It was the best yet. Love these books. I'm sad that I am caught up to you writing them. Keep up the good work.
I chose this rating because it is the highest level you can give it. I have enjoyed reading anything that this author has written. She is very talented and makes the characters seem to come alive. I would recommend it to anyone.
I love this series! I hope it goes on and on. Love the characters, Darcy, Jon, Izzy, Ellen. Their kids are grown now too, Colby who has the same gift as her mother. Should make for some awesome future books! Can't go wrong with this series, its one of my all time favorites )
I was so happy to have Darcy back , I have missed her she is one of my favorite characters. The wait was worth it, this story was full of mystery and questions that kept me reading till the end. I didn't want to put it down. Darcy 's adventures have always been fun, exciting and filled with mystery and this one won't disappoint. Looking forward to her next adventure.
I am a Big Fan of the Darcy Sweet Series but have to say this new one is the Best of all of them. There was plenty of suspense and action in the plot and I got so involved I read late into the night! (Could not put this one down). Will not reveal any spoilers cause you will have to read it for yourself and you will be happy when you do. Please Ms. Emrick continue this series on!
I have a Darcy Sweet addiction. I wasn't sure if I would like Jon but he has fit in nicely. My only real complaint about this book is that there seems to be about 5 years missing between her last book & this one. Did I miss a couple books, I don't think so... I read them in numerical order. But now Darcy &Jon have a daughter?!? Not sure how I could of missed that but still a very good read as always.
This is the best Darcy Sweet book yet! From the first chapter you are tugged in and your heart pounds as things begin to happen. Stayed up well past midnight to finish this book. No way could I put it down. I had to know what happened. Katherine pulls you right into Darcy's fear and you are with her every step of the way.
